Jumping Into The Basics of Defensive Firearms

Our last Intro to Defensive Handgun and Rifle classes wrapped up for the year last weekend. We love introductory classes because of the amount of learning that takes place and the realization that there is so much more to know.

These new students pushed hard last weekend, learning about gun ownership, marksmanship fundamentals, and driving their rifles and handguns.

The day started out with some classroom time discussing legalities, moral concerns, safety, and dry fire on the basics. We covered the basics like loading, clearing malfunctions, coming up on target, and shooting accurately based on your set up.

We then moved to the range and worked on the pillars of marksmanship, clearing malfunctions, and basic operation and shooting. Nice job!
