Defensive Shotgun Competency and Tactics

Defensive Shotgun Competency and Tactics, our capstone shotgun class, was a jam packed range day tying everything from the previous classes into a fast paced skill confirmation.

Students practiced some of the mainstay shotgun drills to measure progress and then dove into moving, barricade work, limited mobility, and brief interior tactics. All while keeping the heavy weapon safely up and running with the appropriate shell choice and condition.

Our defensive shotgun series will return in 2026 and they are critical classes to consider if you want a well-rounded defensive weapon perspective.
